Winter Cumbrian 30th January - A massive thank you to your team that took my Dad and me to Carlisle (from Nuneaton) on the Duchess of Sutherland it was his 80th birthday today (Sunday) and despite an hour delay (no fault of yours) it didn't spoil the day for him, the food was fantastic and the staff were great.

Thanks a million!!!!!! Dear everyone involved! I would like to send my wife and my sincere thanks to all concerned on yesterday's trip to York behind Duchess of Sutherland! When the 'chips were down' early in the morning with a hour-and-a-half's late departure from March this was swept under the carpet when they got us an extended time in York. It was brilliant! All of your staff on that train worked so hard it made the journey a lot of fun. (Maybe not for them, ha ha ha, or should I say Ho, Ho, Ho?).Anyway, thanks a million and a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year to you all.

My partner and I travelled on the Royal Duchy last Sunday 28th August, what a fantastic experience. We were in Premier Dining and I just wanted to say thank you for everything, the food, service, the train of course totally fabulous, did not want to get off the train at the end of our day. Would absolutely recommend the experience to anybody, will try to do another trip in the future. Thanks once again for a great day.

Only thing we miss out on being in a carriage is actually seeing the stunning sight of the locomotive at full tilt.

Just been on 'The Waverley', hauled by the Flying Scotsman. Had a fantastic day from start to finish. Staff were excellent. Food and service in Premier class were both excellent. This is my third tour with RTC-all were good,but this was by far the best.

Sussex Belle - We travelled on the Sussex Belle on Weds 12/12/12. Just to say thanks for a great day out... I had my 4 grandsons with us and they had a brilliant day, absolutely loved meeting Santa on the train, and were very happy with their gifts! Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know that my husband loved every minute of his Flying Scotsman trip last Sunday. The loco has a special meaning for him, as his brother worked on it many years ago, and he has long wanted to do the Settle to Carlisle route. Everything was so well organised and the service and food were excellent. Thank you to all concerned.

I have just returned from the RTC/IGE trip to Bulgaria. The tour was very well organised and enjoyable throughout. The RTC rep, Janez, was extremely efficient and paid close attention to our needs. For example on our evening arrival he gave all of us a bag of food and a bottle of water.

Graham and I joined the Royal Duchy tour on the 16th of September. It was a journey back to our childhood memories and whilst emotionally charged at times it was enormously enjoyable. As usual the Gravy Train catering company produced a delicious meal. As a special noteOur volunteer steward Sylvia was very helpful and attentive. Sylvia ensuredthat we were at the right place at the right time, was able to advise places to go and how to get there. Sylvia is a great representative of your service. As a quick note all your booking representatives have been as friendly and helpful as they could be. This is the fifth time we have enjoyed a steam tour. We really look forward to the next.

My wife and I took this journey yesterday (Sunday), and had a wonderful day. The train was very comfortable; the tables in First Class were neatly dressed; the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much bother for them. We were in coach D seats 13B and 13F.I am a ‘bit of a joker’ and on the return journey I noticed that there was no bulb in the table lamp. I drew this to the attention of one of the waitresses and said that I had hoped to have had a ‘romantic meal with my wife on the journey home. She immediately found a replacement lamp and set it up for us. The people sitting on the opposite side of the aisle were greatly amused. They were good company as well. We just wanted you to know that you have an excellent team working that train and we all thoroughly enjoyed the light hearted banter. We hope to take further journeys of this type in the future. Very best wishes to all concerned.

White Rose - I have just got home after a wonderful day on your White Rose Special to York. Can I say what a lovely day we have had. All the staff on the train were fantastic and the catering was excellent. Winter CME - Great trip, scenery and sunset wonderful. The Settle & Carlisle is one of the best trips in the country. Train staff were great and most helpful (we had a steam heating leak under our seat - but were "rehomed" in another carriage without fuss)

I would just like to thank everybody involved with The White Rose Charter from Cambridge to York on 17/12/15. We had a great day out despite many operational problems which were totally out of the control of those organising and running the charter and thoroughly enjoyed the fine running on the return journey back to March station.
